Scott Drane is a founding partner of the firm and focuses his practice on the real estate financing, fund and joint venture formation, and general organizational needs of the firm’s clients. Mr. Drane provides general counsel services for a number of clients. Prior to co-founding Drane & Freyer Limited, Mr. Drane was a partner at Hopkins & Sutter, where he had worked since 1981.
Mr. Drane received his JD, with honors, from Northwestern University School of Law in 1981, where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Law Review; his MBA, with honors, from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1981, where he was an Austin Scholar; and his BA from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in 1976.

Wendy Freyer is a founding partner of the firm and focuses her practice on the real estate, financing, capital markets, compliance and general organizational needs of its clients. Ms. Freyer also acts as the general counsel, chief operating officer and chief compliance officer for certain of the firm’s clients. Prior to co-founding Drane & Freyer Limited, she was a partner in the corporate and real estate departments at Gardner Carton & Douglas (now Faegre Drinker) in Chicago.
Ms. Freyer earned a JD from Northwestern University School of Law in 1985 and an AB cum laude from Smith College in 1981. She currently serves as an Executive Board member of Friends of Prentice Women’s Hospital in Chicago, as Co-Chair Project Development for The Wetlands Initiative and as an active volunteer on behalf of Smith College, Colgate University and the Latin School of Chicago.

Tim Enright has been with the firm since 2008. Mr. Enright has a wide range of experience and focuses his practice on real estate finance (senior, mezzanine and preferred equity structures), capital markets and general corporate matters. Previously, Mr. Enright was an attorney with Neal, Gerber & Eisenberg LLP, and DLA Piper LLP (US) in Chicago.
Mr. Enright received his JD cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in 2002, where he was a member of the Law Review. He received his BA from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1993.
